Fire safety, exit routes and first aid
ASTRID2 facility
Take a moment to familiarise yourself with the area you will be working in at the ASTRID2 facility. The image shows the layout of the basement area, where the various beamlines are situated, what routes are available to exit, the location of fire alarms, fire-fighting equipment and other equipment that may be used in first aid (such as eye wash stations, showers and a heart defibrillator). Also indicated on the image are the location of internet-based telephones for use in an emergency, should there be no mobile signal in the area.

This image can be found in various places around the ASTRID2 facility, typically on the walls close to beamlines or upon entering an area. You should make a point of looking at it when you arrive to identify where you will be working and the various exit routes etc. available in the area.
Planetary Environment Facility
Take a moment to familiarise yourself with the area you will be working in at the Planetary Environment Facility. The image shows the layout of the lab area, what routes are available to exit, the location of fire alarms, fire-fighting equipment and other equipment that may be used in first aid (such as the eye wash station).

This image can be found in several locations around the lab. You should make a point of looking at it and your surroundings when you arrive to identify where you will be working and the various exit routes etc. available in the area.
