User safety information - Introduction
This information is intended for visitors to the ASTRID2 facility and Planetary Environment Facility (PEF) at the Department of Physics and Astronomy (IFA) at Aarhus University [1].
Safety information
In order to satisfy the requirements of the of Department, guests who will be working here need to be given information related to their safety while at our facilities and to show that you have read and understood it.
We therefore ask all users of our facilities to read through the information in these pages which cover the following areas:
- General information, including details for local contacts.
- Overview of the facilities.
- What to do in an emergency.
- Fire and evacuation procedure.
- Work safely: Electrical safety, cryogenic substances and other relevant areas.
- Items specific to working at ASTRID2, such as radiation safety.
At the bottom of each page, you will find a link taking you to the next in the series.
A simple test
To verify that you have read and understood it, you need to complete a short test consisting of 12 questions related to the information given in these pages.
The test is hosted on the IFA website and you will need to complete and submit it before you arrive at the department.
The link for the test is included in the last page of the series, so only once you have clicked through each page containing the safety information, will you see the link to the test.
We are not allowed to give you access to the facilities until you have completed this test and correctly answered at least 75% of the questions.
You need only complete the test once per calendar year
