The major parts of the ConSys control system have now been finished and are operational on several machines. The ConSys kernel containing most common code for database access, data type definitions, transport, base code for devices etc. are stable and can be running for months. The ConSys kernel stability relies on reliable and fail proof devices. Our major device, the G64 PCDoct device fulfills the stability demands. Other devices, espial the ASTRID serial device to the old system and some serial devices are a little more unstable.
Many of the general-purpose client programs needed for control system has been finished - or is in an almost finished state. A few general programs, like plot programs, surveillance and alarm programs have not been started yet.
Most machine specific programs are not implemented.

ELISA storage ring
Has been operational since January 98.
ASTRID storage ring
All parameters on the ASTRID storage ring are controlled through ConSys. The old control system was phased out in August 98.
