ISA meeting
Week 22, May 30, 2000.
Status of the ring: Last week, we ran Mg+ for the laser cooling group. The week was mainly preparation for the run in week 23 and 24 This week, we are running C3+ for the
electron cooler group. The run is going well. We inject a 60 keV C+ beam into the EBIS, and extract a 180 keV C3+ beam, which we are able to store and accelerate it in the ring.
This is the first time an EBIS beam has been accelerated in the ring!
ELISA is still running He- to be used in student exercises.
