ISA meeting

Week 21, May 23, 2000.

Status of the ring: Last week, we tried to run Li^-, charge exchanged from Li⁺⁺ from the EBIS. We were able to get a little current, but were unable to store it in the ring for some reason. We only had a few days for this test, so we will try again later.

ELISA is now running He^- to be used in student exercises.

The EBIS started to have problems with the motor generator last week. It turned out to be bad bearings in the generator. They are now being replaced, such that it can be ready for the C³⁺ run for LHA et al next week.

The First ASTRID CD Users' Group Meeting: There will be a meeting on synchrotron radiation based circular dichroism for probing molecular structure at Aarhus, on Thursday June 29^th 13:00-16:00. Please contact or for details.
