ISA meeting
Week 22, June 1 1999.
Status of the ring: The D- run for PB et al is going well, apart from some instabilities in the separator. We see sudden intensity drops, and have been looking for the cause most of
yesterday. Today, the separator was taken apart in order to check internal connections and to clean the inside of the system. In addition, the filament of the duoplasmatron source was
exchanged with a new one. We hope to be back in operation late today or tomorrow morning, hopefully with a stable beam.
Next week we will start a run with noble gas molecules for LHA et al.
ELISA is ready for tests of the charge exchange cell with He-. The tests will start next week.
